Qurbani

Qurban means sacrifice. Every year during the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow or camel – to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of Allah.

HOW CAN YOU SAVE LIVES WITH YOUR QURBANI

Families Relief is on the ground in over 10+ countries, awaiting on your generous donations to help us feed the poor with your Qurbani. Qurban is slaughtered during the days of Eid Al-Adha as an act of worship, intending to draw closer to Allah thereby. It is one of the rituals of Islam prescribed in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (pbuh). Qurban is a Compulsory Sunnah of our Prophet (pbuh) and it is of great value of reward. It was reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said “O people, it is compulsory for every household to make a sacrifice yearly.” [Ahmed]
